Nutrition Values of Ceylon True Cinnamon

A small quantity of vitamin A and C is also present. It also obtains limited Niacin, Pantothenic acid, Thiamin, and folates. Caloric Content - 100 grams of Ceylon cinnamon powder has only 247 calories. Which is only, 12 calories for 2 tbsp ground cinnamon.

Content of Minerals - The rich spice carries 1002mg (approximately 1g) of calcium, 60mg (0.06g) of magnesium, 64mg (0.064g) of phosphorus whereas copper carries 0.339 mg, iron 8.32mg, manganese 17.46mg and zinc 1.83mg only.

Ceylon Cinnamon is very high in anti-oxidant, anti-diabetic, anti-septic, and anti-inflammatory properties. ORAC (Oxygen radical absorbance capacity) recorded it to have hundred times more anti-oxidant than apples and other foods having 267536 trolex equivalents (TE).

It acquires minor presence of sodium and potassium.

Further 100 grams of Ceylon True Cinnamon only has 50.59gram of carbohydrates, 3.99 gram of proteins and 1.24 gram of total fat.

It contains no cholesterol. A perfect healthy spice has no cholesterol values.

An aromatic essential oil is also extracted from the bark, which also obtains strong nutritional values and is greatly advantageous for countless medical and health purposes.
